I joined the NARSA as soon as I started flying pattern and I am proud of the organization and what it has done and is doing for pattern. The organization may not be perfect but no organization is perfect. Someone said pattern would continue without the NSRCA, I don’t think that is true here in D8. The DVP in our district is the focal point of pattern and one of the huge efforts he does is to manage the pattern contest schedule by working with all the CDs, not an easy job and Pat Harris our current DVP is doing a great job as did Rex Lesher before him. Our DVPs work hard to keep the season running by reaching out to the community throughout the season he, does this without treating members any different than non-members.

The fact that NSRCA is “blind" to membership in many of the services it provides shows great leadership, in my opinion. That said I would hope all pattern fliers would see this benefit and join. The organization is small and if you have better ideas how to run the organization then run for office.

Personally I would like to hear from all pattern fliers on the survey.

The goal here is to have people sign up on the website, not to be members of the NSRCA, although preferable, but to have a database of emails so that they can be sent the survey. You don't have to be a member to sign up on the site. That's the whole thing. They said they're trying to reach out to all including the forums but yet that's not good enough. I don't get it.

This is a major factor as well as the patterns have become much harder for the average sport flier to jump in and try pattern. I understand each AMA class is a stepping stone for the next and masters is the top before FAI. But maybe adopt the KISS system and patterns.

People work really hard to do the right thing and please the majority. No matter how hard you try, someone is going to poo-poo your efforts. They make mistakes just like we all do. At least the effort is being made to get information from the majority vs. the few that can't stand the NSRCA but love to tell everyone on the NSRCA list. How about some support?

Making it available to those that have a desire to provide input is fine and Peter has said he will do that, Hang in there Peter!!! It's a thankless job but I thank you for all your hard work and passion for the hobbie.
