Yep....  they were around for a long time.  Owatana used their engines to run portable hydraulic presses.

We took them apart and used them for pumping  hydraulic rams to jack timber, using their rams for the 

jacks.

Here's one for everybody.
I just got a call from my wife at work.  She had one of the plant employees in her office.
They asked me if I had ever heard of an O&R engine.  I have my Dad's engines from the 
1950's and a couple are Ohlsson & Rice.  I figured I had this question nailed right?
Wrong!
Turns out it's some kind of power tool motor.  The guy wanted Paula to bring it home to see
what I could find out.  A quick search revealed that they did in fact make chainsaw, pump motors, etc.
Anyone else ever heard of these?
