[NSRCA-discussion] One Day Contest

Kelly and I fly together in Maryland- our field is located northeast of DC right off rt 95.

I find that the idea of a one day contest is very appealing to the "local crowd"- if you are close enough to drive to the contest the morning of and drive home at night afterwards. I think it is a great way to spark interest locally. I have found someone to take over the CD responsiblities from me at the CAPI next year so I may have some flexibility. Perhaps we (you and I) could talk about doing something at our club next year. Either a one day event or two one day events as Ron suggests.

I understand the 2 day commitment consideration-

The one day contest concept gets re - raised every so often,
and has it's pro's and con's. I think there is room for the one day contest.
And try to emblish it by an optional clinic, judging seminar, or whatever
  on the other day.

How about two, one day contests at same field, same weekend?
That was done at Lakehurst years ago, quite successfully.
