There is such a thing as foamy hinge tape which is very light and very
sticky. I get it from my local hobby shop - Coyote in Oregon City.

We are out here. Just self absorbed at this time of year. I am building (or
actually finishing) a foamy I started several years ago. Went to the hobby
shop yesterday and bought all the stuff. Should have it flying in a few
day's.
I do have a question though. What does everyone use for hinge tape? The
clear packing tape I used lost its stick. Is there a better one?
Wishing everyone a merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Hello dist-8!
I never see anything here and ran across the attached drawing of the 'Poor
Mans Soft Mount' I am using in my Option-120 rev-C airplane. I now have a
season of trouble free service with it. The grommets are 40 dr and the
spacers are probably a little shorter than what is shown on the drawing. The
grommets need to be pinched a little to prevent any relative movement which
wares the rubber (actually neoprene). The rev-B airplane initially used a
Dave Brown mount attached with 4 grommets without a nose ring support.
Is anyone out there?
Jim
