Merry Xmas!  to all you good boys and girls....  And Dennis!
3M Blenderm....  that's the tape you are looking for!
Sold at most hobby shops...  Called "Foamie  Hinge Tape".
You won't find a better tape for most anything you want
stuck on or to....  I've tried to find it at other places, but 
haven't found that exact type.
