Sorry for the dumb question, where is the Phoenix contest being held and
what is the process for entering? I can only find the date on the Dist 7
website.
I sent my NSRCA membership app and dues in this week and plan to
"participate" as much as my work schedule will allow. I am very new to
Pattern flying but it has become the center of my attention. I have only
been flying RC for a year and a half so I still have a lot to learn. I had
planned to go to Lancaster to at least observe or provide fodder for the
Sportsman class, but was preempted by work.
Have fun in Lancaster.
Cheers

Subject: [NSRCA-dist7] Need muffler for YS 140
Greetings D7 Pattern dudes and dudettes:
I bought a used ice-point at the AMA show for my son Robert. He is somewhat
benevolent about flying in front of judges, but is a good flyer, and with a
little push I believe he would like it. Part of the agreement is I told him
that I will put a plane together that does not have 3-4 grand in it. Robert
went to live with his mother 2 years ago, and because of my ex's Attorney;
my disposable income structure has changed. So I don't have the 3-4 grand
anyway.
We are going to try pattern again, with Robert entering sportsman. The
ice-point was a little beat up but the price was good. It had a bad canopy
and I had no luck with a replacement, but found something from another kit
that looks OK.
I also got a used YS140 on RCU.
Now my ask is:
Does anyone have a "PIPE" type muffler for a YS 140 they want to sell
reasonable. I have a header, Come on you electric guys. . . Got a pipe you
no longer need.
Thank You for your consideration,
D7 is the best;

Chuck - Thanks for setting this up - hope this helps get more people to the
contest. Now there are no excuses about not knowing how to get there.

I'm broadcasting a link to Google Maps for the Lancaster contest, in case it
would be helpful to someone. (If you right-click on the runway and select
"Directions to here" Google will give directions from whatever location you
enter. Or, you can zoom out and get the field in perspective of the local
roads.)
