I suspect what it really boils down to is if i ( the general pattern flyer) dont make the finals i dont want to judge finals .. never mind the fact that the guys that made the finals worked their butts off putting in the practice ( some may jus have it natural and not need to practice) .. Based on this Nats and the direction pattern seems to be taking if you cut down my finals " masters " so we can have so called quality judging " its a utopian pipe dream " i certainly would not want to sit in a chair and wait around for 4 rounds of FAI finals .. No offense to the FAI guys im jus sayen.......
Making the finals is a big deal for me...last year it was like i reached the mountain top .. I finished 8th im sooooo cool with that .. Now the mountain top is a mole hill why put in the effort and commitment .. I may not fly well enough ever again to make the finals but there is the hope of reaching it and getting that new contest 4 rounds of the best that showed .. Utopian pipe dream says screw u aint gonna happen..
as ive stated before i paid my dues so to speak and hung around for the guys that out flew me so they could get their 4 rounds in ...
So for me its not worth the effort anymore..
I have one proteus left for sale after the nats tentatively sold the other bout 2hrs ago ..

Of the total amount of folks that have responded whether or not they are registered for Masters this year, the percentage shifts to ~75% agree of the proposed format. I suggested to the board that we give everyone at least a week to respond, which I think wraps up on Thursday of this week.
