It always must be a business decision. I am sure that Muncie will be 
better off financially with a schedule that maximizes attendance. AFIK, 
the AMA leadership considers the best options for the whole membership.
Since I have not been active in quite a while I have not considered the 
business aspects of Pattern lately.  It does not appear to me that there 
is much effort in trying to grow it as there used to be?

If push comes to shove, it can be taken on the road but that is a whole 
lot more work and expenses. I respectively suggest that a flanking 
strategy be used rather than going head-to-head with the AMA.  "The 
needs of the many are more important than the needs of the few".
