Well said Jerry. I usually contact the NSRCA site to look up the contest schedule and registration. Less frequently about maneuver schedules and judging. I get my NSRCA business information from the K-Factor

Many of us visit as we need, not because we "have to" each week to keep up with what is going on. I for one still use the K Factor as my principle interface to find out what is going on. Digital forces me to committ/spend time in front of my moniter until I have read it all, and it is hard to allocate that kind of time, when I can pick up and read the printed copy as I have time and the inclination.

The Facebook page also reminded participants about turning in nominations. I am uncertain about the list but I will also check to see if something was sent out to the list. If we missed this list, it was a mistake by the board. I think I speak for every single individual that volunteers to fill these positions....there is nothing more that we'd rather see than more participation in helping, volunteering and contributing to our organization. Many times, these positions are filled because no one else wants to.

Didn't find anything. Then I looked at the online K-Factors. Hmmm, a brief mention in Jim Quinn's column in the October issue (which I still haven't received in the mail), and nothing in the November issue that I could find (I haven't received that one either). I haven't found anything else.

I guess I see a lack of tranparency here for the NSRCA board nominations. The first I knew that anyone had been nominated was today when I received the email here asking us to vote. In years past, we gave the nominees an opportunity to provide their thoughts on why they should be elected. Whatever happened to that?

We all had the opportunity to provide inputs and cross proposals after the initial vote. We also had the opportunity to talk to the CB members, and I did talk to a couple of them. The CB members are mostly active members of the pattern community, are well known, and are charted by the AMA, not the NSRCA, to look at rules proposals to benefit all AMA participants, not just NSRCA members. Problems with the NSRCA proposals were hashed out here, and the submitters had the opportunity to fix issues during the cross proposal process. How much follow-up contact did the NSRCA board initiate with the CB during the process? Were any cross proposals submitted?

>>> During the voting process, there have been a few write-in votes. This is GREAT! Please, keep in mind, however, that write-in votes are not truly accepted nominations. Some of the write-in votes are for people that have already voted for others. In other words, they probably don't even know they have been nominated. There is absolutely nothing wrong voting for write-in candidates but you may want to make sure they know they have been nominated. We are trying to keep up with the voting to place "Write-In candidate" next to those names. Due to a restriction in the software, write-in candidates will display in the choices. The following are accepted nominations by the nominees. All others are write-ins.
