Kaleo makes an inverted pitts and Central Hobbies has them. Slimline makes
a side mounted version. Tower Hobbies may still have one in stock, in the
past, they to sell YS engines. I don't know about a Slimline inverted
version.
What I have come to understand is that certain areas of our hobby are more
specialized, pattern being a good example. Specialized equipment for
pattern competition can be used for other areas but must be adapted to the
intended application and we must be willing to pay whatever the cost to
adapt it. Sometimes it's best to leave pattern engines for their intended
application, which is to be used in pattern airplanes.
