Bob,
Go to Thunderpower's web site and then to the support section. They have
instructions for storing lipo batteries. Basically, the storage includes
discharging to 50% capacity. Unless you have a direct short to the leads,
it's highly unlikely a pack would ignite. The danger point on lipo batteries
comes when they are over-charged, over-discharged, or shorted out. The
colder you can keep the batteries above freezing, the better.

This is the first year I will be storing larger lipo packs. Right now they
are in a small carrying case, but it would be much help if a pack ignited.
