You can get more than 7 flight modes with a Futaba 12FG. Even the 10C has stick
switchable flight modes though I'm not sure how many.

Colin.

What competitor radio are you comparing it to?

An JR11x comparison to Futaba 14mz isn't exactly a fair or apples to apples
comparison.

Great Hobbies lists the JR11x with rx at $799 cdn vs the 14mz with rx at $2389
cdn.  I would hope you get some more capability for 3 times the price.

I haven't flown an 11x but several club members have them and are very pleased
with them.  I don't like the feel of the 11x vs a 10x or 12x but that's just my
own preference.  Your milage may vary.

Paul

I don't know why JR offers so few flight modes compared to it's competitor.

Ever since Ivan K showed me just how many flight modes he was using (like...8)
its been a consideration for the features I would want in my next radio.

However, after flying the Xigris/Pletty I really don't think it's needed but
might reduce the workload switching to-from snap and spin
conditions....occasionally I forget and that just ruins the manoeuvre.

Thanks.
Colin.

Colin,

I believe it has 3 flight modes for airplanes.

I rarely if ever use stick switches (or flight modes) for pattern and am
uncertain as to the capability of the 11X for this function (I’ll let you know
if I find out).

Several people I know are flying the 11X and are very happy with it.  I’ve flown
others a bit, and while it is different ergonomically from the 12X, X9303, etc,
it is comfortable to use.

Anyone out there using the 11X?

If it has only 3 Flight modes and one intends to use the stick switices to enter
2 flight modes does the 3 position switch duplicate the mode? Can you enter the
mode using the 3-position switch or the stick switch?

What's general concensus on the 11X?

Colin.
