[NSRCA-discussion] Weight limit in AMA classes

No worries Daniel, hope I didn't come across wrong. I was merely trying to say that the list can be quite brutal on this subject. Feel free to discuss anything here. Just didn't want you to take a beating as I figured you were somewhat new or you would have seen this discussed here. Some people are dead set against change, when change is how we got to where we are now.. Nothing wrong with this though.

I think it's important that those of us who have been around the list remember that new people join all the time and don't know what has been discussed. But they see something on RCU, and find the list.

Take care.

Chris

Chris,

I was referring to Dave Burton Fri Dec 11 12:42:24 AKST 2009 where he submitted a rules proposal to completely eliminate the 11 lb. Weight limit in AMA pattern classes. I wasn't suggesting to change anything. I'm a NUB.

Daniel,

There is pretty much nothing said here that isn't covered in the thread on RCU though. If you feel the need to voice your opinion RCU is probably the better venue for it IMO. Good luck!

Of course you do need to reward the squirrel with extras after the flight which does not count against your weight limit. Also a switch to flying squirrels would be a plus. Then you actually get some lift from from your propulsion unit.
