[NSRCA-discussion] 12Z vs 12FG

Bob, I went through the same thing you are doing and I finally talked to Steve Helms. I ended up buying the 14MZ and am very happy I did. I remember wrestling with the idea of spending $1000 for the 9Z way back when, but when I look at what it cost in dollars per year it was a very good deal. The radio is a very small part of the total cost of the hobby. Just add up the cost of driving to and from the flying site. At a buck a mile that far exceeds the difference in the price of radio control systems. I see folks with 20 low cost radios who would never think about spending the same total on one high performance system. I'd rather have one that is as good as I can buy.

Your very old friend, Jim
