I ended up buying the 14MZ and am very happy I did. I remember wrestling with the idea of spending $1000 for the 9Z way back when, but when I look at what it cost in dollars per year it was a very good deal. The radio is a very small part of the total cost of the hobby. Just add up the cost of driving to and from the flying site. At a buck a mile that far exceeds the difference in the price of radio control systems. I see folks with 20 low cost radios who would never think about spending the same total on one high performance system. <div>On the comparison chart, the only thing I saw that MIGHT sway me to the 12Z is the "logic for switches". I think I used this feature once on my 9Z to do some experimenting, but don't know if it is something that I would ever really need.</div>
