The Focus 2 can be built quite light as well. I have one with a YS
140DZ and Hatori pipe that weighs 9lbs - 15oz. Lighter than some of the
Focus 110's out there. It flies great. If only I was as good as the
plane is. J

The Focus II you got from me was about 10.5 lbs with the OS 160 and the
Ric's (heavy metal) pipe. The Focus ARFs did vary a lot in weight.
Mine/yours was an ARC that was one of the few left with the Piedmont CF
LG, which helped a fair bit with weight.
You are right, it was a fine flying model.

Funny, I did fly the Focus at one time. It was a great plane in
its day. I had 3 of them.
And I bet they were all under the 11 lb rule.
All of my planes have been under the limit. They all didn't cost
thousands of dollars either.
I started spending more as I became more interested in the sport.
A little slack in the lower class is not needed in my opinion.
