The Focus II you got from me was about 10.5 lbs with the OS 160 and the Ric's (heavy metal) pipe.  The Focus ARFs did vary a lot in weight.  Mine/yours was an ARC that was one of the few left with the Piedmont CF LG, which helped a fair bit with weight.  

You are right, it was a fine flying model.

And I bet they were all under the 11 lb rule.
All of my planes have been under the limit. They all didn't cost thousands 
of dollars either.
I started spending more as I became more interested in the sport.
 
A little slack in the lower class is not needed in my opinion.
