[NSRCA-discussion] Looking for someone that is a machinist as a hobby.

John,
You need these:
http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=JRPA047

They come with a new lower threaded part that replaces the one
currently in the gimble. It is splined, and pulls out. I take the set
screw out of the end of an extension, and screw it down by hand onto
the old lower threaded part until it contacts the ball in the gimble,
and then keep screwing it in until it pulls the old lower part. The
new one presses in easily. I've done this on my 12x and both 10x's
I've had. Kind of scary at first, but in practice, it is no problem.
Any of the JR extensions will fit, although the one that comes with the
one I list is nice and long, and is fatter to boot.

Weird subject line, huh?

Since I fly with a transmitter tray I use long stick extensions.  I
recently bought a JR 12X.

Although it has the same size threaded stud coming from the gimbal as
my 9303 the regular

JR stick extensions will not work.  The stud is shorter on the 12X.
The 9303 extension has

a portion of the barrel unthreaded and it slips too far down the stud

without engaging the threads

on the 12X.  The link below has just about all the extensions offered
by Horizon.  You can see the

short and regular for the 12X.  I have both and I need longer.

Is there anyone out there that is a machinist that might be able to
make a set for me?

Thanks!

JLK
