[NSRCA-discussion] Gloves for winter flying

You are not alone. About 45 degrees is my cutoff point, 40 with sunshine and
no wind. This is building season here besides there is about 3 feet of
settled, thawed and refrozen snow on the field. When I finish going through
the NSRCA posts I will open the CAD system and spend a couple hours
detailing a new design before adjourning to my basement workshop. I should
probably go to AZ next month but just don't feel like loading everything up
and making the trip. I didn't even get a park flier. I didn't think I would
get a couple hundred dollars of fun out of standing out in 20-degree
weather, even with gloves.
I guess I will change some bearings and servos next month and get ready for
spring.
Jim Hiller

I have a pair of large women's knitted gloves, leather palms with the tip
pad area cut off three fingers each from the days I was super gung-ho; 45
degrees, and wind blowing 25 knts. Screw that. Now I sit in front of the
computer--far more effective with lower doctor bills... Pretty much has to
be close to 60 and not have to lean into the wind (Mariah)to get very
excited about making the trek. I know--what a wuss...

Does anyone have a recommendation for gloves that leave you with enough
finger dexterity to fly in cold weather?

Thanks
