Ah, Rossi short stroke RE, non muffled tuned pipe, 11-71/2 Zinger, screaming at 22,000 rpm on the backside of a split S, pipe 'ringing', prop tips breaking the sound barrier--  Those were some days.  THAT'S when I got fairly adept at using the 'heat transfer device' discussed earlier...
