John,
Some people use 2.4Ghz wireless router antenna on the module. That way, you don't have to worry about the antenna wire on the back. Much better installation? I don't know since, I use the module as is.
So far, I've sold dozens of Spektrum modules for Futaba 7U, 8U, 9C/Z. None for the higher end TX other than the Futaba module sets.
