Ron,
Are you actually using dual rates within the same flight condition with the 
switch or getting the dual rate by going to a different flight condition? If 
you're going to a different flight condition, then the problem could be 
different trim settings or a different rate of trim on the second flight 
condition. It helps to remember that a flight condition is essentially a 
whole new model and almost EVERYTHING can be changed. Your subtrims could be 
the problem as well. Hope this helps.
