This is a sad day for pattern.  Kirk was a great guy before some of the
issues he faced recently.

This is a terrible day, I'm out the flying field and when I got this message
my heart sank. When Kirk was flying he always had a smile on his face and
never was to busy to talk answer and type of questions, even from a kid like
myself. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

For those of us that knew Kirk, I got some bad news today. He was found dead
in his apartment yesterday. He had apparently had a heart attack. This is
all the news I have right now other than I have been told that his family is
going to have a grave side service for the family only.
