Hmmmm... I hate to say it, but I think your geometry is wrong :(.
The size of the radii won¹t matter (provided they¹re all the same and
smaller than the overall shape)...it has to be square to get 45deg lines.
You¹re simply taking a square and bisecting it with crossing lines that are
at 45degree angles. Expanding the radii from 0 simply makes each straight
segment smaller, it doesn¹t change the drawing at all.
I can draw the hourglass box and overlay a bunch of different radii over it
without changing the overall shape.
