Wayne I think your method is the best because of the way it stiffins the wheel pants. Until I see something better it's the way I will continue to do it. Mike

What I like most about the method is simplicity in changing wheels or removing the pants it they ever needed repair. I used a 6-32 socket head bolt. You have to have a bolt that is threaded all the way. Most 6-32 socket head bolts are not threaded all the way and I had to whip out the die set and thread them. Bob suggest using an #8 size bolt for an axle. If you do use the 6-32 you may have to drill out the wheel hub an resize it with a bushing. But I never did that and had no ill effects.

  Smooth FLying......

There is no simpler and easy to use system than what Bob Pastorello shows on his site. This system allows you to change the wheels without taking the pant off or humbling with tiny pieces. I tried the nmp axles and found them lacking.

I'm looking for a light, reliable method to mount wheels and wheel pants on carbon fiber landing gear legs. Any suggestions?
