Wayne I think your method is the best because of the way it stiffins the wheel pants. Until I see something better it's the way I will continue to do it. What I like most about the method is simplicity in changing wheels or removing the pants it they ever needed repair. I used a 6-32 socket head bolt. You have to have a bolt that is threaded all the way. Most 6-32 socket head bolts are not threaded all the way and I had to whip out the die set and thread them. Bob
suggest using an #8 size bolt for an axle. If you do use the 6-32 you may have to drill out the wheel hub an resize it with a bushing.
