John,
I am surprised you say the Brio 10 needs more than the
3S2100. I fly mine with a 3S1200, an AXI 2217 and a
12x6E. I think that friend also use a 3S2100 with the
Power 10. I first flew mine with a AXI 2820 and a
3S2100 at 33oz. It was so bad that I was going to sell
the plane after the first flight. It felt heavy,
snappy, fast, etc. With the smaller motor and battery
(28oz) it could be flown in a baseball field without
trouble. The verticals are not unlimited but good
enough for most maneuvers.
The Aspera is a better plane than the Brio 10 for
precision flying but I would not fly it in a park. It
need a larger field to properly express itself. Mine
as a Kontronic Cora 15-12, an APC 13x6.5 and a 3S2170
battery. It flies the P07 not too bad and I plan to
learn P09 and F09 with it. I had a midair at NEAT but
I will get another one next week. I am even thinking
of getting a spare one right away. That's how much I
love that plane.
I believe the Vanquist could be flown on a 3S or 4S
2100 to 3000 from what I have seen but I haven't flown
one myself.
