At the '93 Nats, I was flying the pattern in front of the judges, and I started hearing chearing about halfway through my flight. I remember thinking to myself "am I flying THAT good?". I landed, turned around to thank the judges, and realized everyone was cheering Curtis Youngblood, who was putting on a really good demonstration flight (early 3D stuff) on the taxiway behind us. Even the judges that had been judging me were watching him fly. Geez, what a letdown. :-)

Probably the best reason not to have it...lol. It's bad enough when we screw-up... I mean when a pilot screws-up and you hear all the OOOooooohhhhhhhhhhhh's from the crowd. Now just imagine the uproar when someone gets judged for a maneuver that they are doing all wrong! Total Chaos!
