Have you looked at the Robart 204 Super Fueler? I like it because it is a
one way valve when open and a flow thru when shut, and doesn't require any
additional clamps, etc.

I agree.  I have been doing the same but I use the 90 degree elbows outside
to avoid that the carburetor get fuel pressure when fueling (no fuel dot in
refueling line).  I bet that you spill some fuel out of the carburetor when
you are refueling.  Probably you won't flood the engine but it you loose
some fuel.
