As a pilot who has been in Advanced for way too long but yet cannot seem
to "master" Advanced I must say that the "skill" is not inverted exits.
That is a condition that scares the crap outta an 402 guy knowing hes
gotta move up (as it did me). Advanced is what the more experienced guys
have already said:
1. Positioning-difficult manuevers back to back....no real correction time
alloted-gets worse in 404
2. Finesse Rudder-FIRST thing I lose when out of practice and the hardest
thing to get back-I am King of the over-rudder correction-wrong rudder
inverted
3. Trim-Flying upside down manuevers, slow rolls, 4pts are a dog with bad
trim
Exiting inverted is really easy once you get past that fear factor, which
takes one or two practices max. Exiting inverted with an out of trim plane
is easily compensated for by a 402 skill person.
Advanced IS about those three points mostly and 3000 other smaller ones.
I see no problem with the new schedule and thanks to those who took the
time to assemble it.
