[NSRCA-discussion] [SA] Help: Elevator Setup on JR10X

The ATV's need to be matched as well as the servo to surface geometry.
Also, any curve mix setup to use the Elevator as a slave will pass the mix
info to the Aux3 channel as well using Code 22.

Dave

A curve is not available to the best of my knowledge.

Look very closely at the mechanical setup. I suspect as other that something
is amiss here.

Are your ATV/End-point settings the same on both channels?

Is Sub-trim in play?

Any time you introduce an offset such as sub-trim or an unequal end-point
percentage you'll realize some variables in performance as compared to
another channel without same. Careful mechanical set-up eliminates most of
these problems.

Dave,
I will probably doing the same thing on my next plane, but I didn't
anticipate that problem. Yiks ! Sounds like one arm on one of the elevators
is different than the other mounted in the stab? I'm thinking servo speed
but everything seems fine on down Ele. ? Push rod lengths equal ? Good
question?... Let us know what happens.

  All,

I am setting up a new plane using the wing type mix (22) for an elevator
servo on each half, plugging into the elevator and AUX3 ports as instructed.

Using the stick on each of the elevators coming together at a single point
behind the rudder to check tracking. I am finding that the elevators are
aligned at center and at full up and down elevator.

I am also finding that the elevator on AUX 3 starts earlier and reaches full

throw earlier than the other elevator and thus tracks with greater throw on
that half than on the other half anywhere between neutral and full throw.
This is happening with up elevator only- not down elevator.

I am hoping I can set up some sort of curve one one half or the other so
that I can match the two elevators perfectly (well, as perfectly as
possible). Has anyone done this and what are the steps?

Thanks,

Dave Michael
