[NSRCA-discussion] Sportsman help

The reality is...

When you exit the box you get to pick any turn around you want, but you
don't get the chance to relax.

You can choose to reposition without penalty durring those turnarounds, but
if you have to reposition, something was wrong about the previous maneuver
"set" that threw you off track. You've already been penalized.

You can't insert any delaying maneuvers outside the box to give yourself
some breathing time without good reason.... and that reason had better be
that you are getting/staying out of the way of some other aircraft. So...
nope... no relief.

And the judges won't have time to do more than glance down to see what
maneuvers are next. Thier only breaks are between the landing of one pilot
and takeoff of the next.

************

Best hint for Sportsman:

Fly far enough out to have time to do the maneuvers. I see a lot of first
time competitors fly at less than 1/2 as far out as the more advanced
competitors. Too far in is a downgrade... and it causes you to rush all of
your maneuvers.

Set your plane on the ground and pace off the correct distance (its in the
rules... 150 to 175 meters) Look at how small the plane appears!
