Hi Ed,
The 8417 is the servo you are thinking of 82 oz of torque @ .10sec/60 deg.
My choice for the elevator or rudder for that matter is an Airtronics 94758.
115 oz .06sec/60 deg. on 6 volts not sure what voltage JR rates their
servos at.
