Done that - twice. Now I attach a small safety wire from the silencer to a
screw under fuse. Off, but not down.

Sorry to hear the Funtana was damaged Matt.  From what I've seen they
are a little fragile in the area behind the wing on hard landings.  For
what it's worth, normally I put a little blue locktite on all threaded
engine and muffler parts (except the glow plug, needle valves and prop
nut) before I run them for the first time.  I still have things come
loose occasionally, but the frequency is really reduced.
