Contests

I realize that having the re-scheduled Pensacola pattern contest on August 6
& 7th won't work for everyone. The club realizes that, but they would like
to not throw trophies away! I know that Apopka has an event the weekend
after, so some will not make it to Pensacola.

I also know that we have 13 scheduled Pattern Contests in NSRCA D3 this year
from March to September, with only the NATS scheduled for July. May and
June are full with only the weekends out of eight unscheduled. The same is
true for August and September.

The club could just cancel it and only have the district champs in late
September, but it would mean tossing the trophies that the club has $200
invested in. They feel that having a contest, even if only 10 show up is
better than throwing this stuff away.. That would leave a bad taste for the
club, and I don't want that!

So, the feeling is to schedule it then and see what happens. At this point,
we will stay with the same dates (1st week of May) for next year.
