If the gears are clean use lithium White grease They sell this at Auto parts
store in 4 oz tubes remember a little goes along way.

Dave,
    I have it re-assembled except for lubing the gears.
    What grease should I use on the planetary gears ?  The main shaft is
steel but the planetary gears are nylon, epoxy or plastic.

You can also make a 'spanner' out of a flat tip screwdriver you don't care
much about -- a little dremel work to take out the center of the blade and
you're there...
