Jon, it can be done below one click instead of above. You should see a little arrow that points up or down next to the POSI field in the mix menu. Move down to this field and roll the dial, the arrow will change directions and the mix will now be active below 3% on the stick instead of above.
Im not sure how you can disable the mix for a landing setup. I have this mix setup but dont really worry about it for landing since Im holding up elevator to land anyway.
