How to Install Gator Nose Ring?

Mounting in an Elan. 

Only way I can figure to do this: 

1. Cut nose ring lite ply supports to fit inside fuselage nose.
2. Drill hole in supports and install blind nuts.
3. Attach supports to nose ring.
4. Glue support (with nose ring around installed engine bearing housing)to
inside fuselage nose. 


Is this how you do it?
