Boy Ron, that's a name from the ancient times. I haven't heard of Bryan
Henderson in about 20 years, a time before most present contestants weren't even
born........in pattern that is.
Yuck,yuck

Yes.
Oh! Maybe you want to know something about it. <BG> I won't tell you
the results; I'll leave that to the hardworking co-CDs, Emory Schroeter
and Bryan Henderson to publish.
The contest had been originally been scheduled for Pensacola, two weeks
earlier, but Hurricane Ivan messed things up so that the contest was
rescheduled at Mac Hodge's field near Americus, GA. Mac has a hobby
shop on the field and you can sit in rocking chairs on the shop's porch
and watch the contest. Inside the building is THE BEST R/C hobby shop
I have ever been in. If any of you are in the area, you should visit
Mac's field.
The late season required having morning and afternoon flightlines due
to the sun. On Saturday we arrived at the field to low clouds, caused
by the tropical depression going into Louisiana. As a result, flying
couldn't start until 11:00 A.M., when the clouds lifted. We flew three
rounds for everyone but F3A, who got four. It was nearly dark before
the F3A guys finished. On Sunday we had even lower clouds, plus fog.
The contest was finally called about 10:30 A.M., when the situation
hadn't improved.
