Zimpro (Aries) "Commercial"

I started flying 402 this year and have been flying an Aries. I feel like
it's a great plane for any level and a terrific plane to learn with. What I
think is nice about the Aries is that it will do maneuvers slow and flies
very smooth. The presentation of the plane is beautiful and I really think
it lends itself to scoring very well, assuming that the pilot at the
controls does his job (that's the part that I'm struggling with :-) ).

You can ask Wayne Galligan for his opinion, he started flying an Aries this
year and he immediately became more competitive. He has won all but one
contest he's attended this year. His one loss (2nd place) was to another
Aries.

You'll have to talk to AeroSlave, but unless you work out a special deal
with them they don't sell it with the finished wings. Initially I was
disappointed about this but after building one it became clear to me that by
building it I had much more control in how it came out and I could be very
particular about the small details. Like you I would rather know that I'm at
fault than think there is something wrong with the plane. That's not to say
that there aren't builders that could do an excellent job, but for me
knowing it was right and getting the plane I really wanted made it worth
building myself. Fortunately it's also very competitively price.

I'm in the process of building my second Aries as a backup.

Here's are some pictures of my and other Aries from some D6 contests:

Best of luck,
