Re Personal E-mails to the list

Most of the on list chit chat is probably unintentional.  The list is setup
so
that clicking on "reply to sender" addresses the reply to the entire list,
rather than just the sender.  To send a private reply you must manually
copy and paste the desired email into the address field of your reply,
replacing
the automatically entered "discussion at nsrca.org".

The list administrator told me the NSRCA leadership wanted it that way.
