Dean, I'm sorry that's your experience.  Although far from perfect, we seem
to do okay.  Our FAI pilots never grumble (at least not that I've ever
heard), and willingly get into the chair.  Just like we Masters do for them.
I don't believe it affects the scoresheets, but we understand pretty well
the inter-dependencies, and respect them!
    I've also had some pretty darn good judges from other classes....

I can't tell how much I've learned by judging.  If you approach the judging
with that perspective, it helps the drudgery "a bit"...

We've not had real good results splitting Masters, in my experience anyway.

At a local meet, you barely can find enough lowerclassmen and FAI types who

Often the Masters class judges at a local meet are less than well rotated,
because there are so few
FAI flyers and Advanced flyers who feel capable of judging Masters. Once a
pilot sees the same
judge a third time, during a contest, the value of running more than 3
rounds diminishes.
