Hi John, I have a Goldberg Ultimate with a pumped Webra 120 w/pitts muffler, any suggestions on a prop size, the model weight
is 9.2 Lbs. I flew it with an APC 14/12 and the engine was turning 8700, flew ok but not much vertical, are you running anything in
this size, would appreciate any input.

  Hi Larry
I'm not a pattern flyer but I've had two Ultimates the 1/4 scale Goldberg with a 120 and a 27% Ohio rc with a 50cc gasser . They both flew much the same they like to tip stall at low throttle settings you have to keep the speed up on landing and fly it to the ground. They are a hoot to fly though they do the most intense snaps of any airplane I've ever flown. I would suggest you get rid of as much weight as possible I know that's easier said that done. Anyway good luck.

This isn't a pattern topic, but I'm certain that many will share opinions, good / bad.<VBG>

Any thoughts on a Quadrotech 1/4 Scale Ultimate 10-300? I'm getting one at a good price.

    Web-Site: http://www.arcdirect.com/quadrotech/ultimate.htm

Any inherent problems with the kit, any mods to make it better / lighter?

I'm looking at a YS 1.40DZ w/ 3-bladed prop, is this enough power if it come out at 11.5lbs and who makes a Pitts muffler for it? What size prop would be used for a 3-bladed set up?

The stab is 1/4" balsa slab and/or stick I think, would it be beneficial to have foam cut for an airfoil stab and rudder?

I appreciate your thoughts, even if it's to sell it real fast.lol
