I would use the Troy Newman elevator setup.

No problem areas. I had to file down a couple of areas of fiberglass parts
to make them fit, but this is the most gorgeous plane I've built.  I've
been flying pattern (off and on) for 17 years, and I've never seen a more
beautiful pattern plane.

I had to sand a lot on the elevators to get the bevel straight, but that's
no big deal.  Did Lee send you the firewall/formers templates?  They're
very helpful.

What are you using for engine?  What are you using for rubber mount?
