[NSRCA-dist8] Judging Seminar

There is an ancient Chinese proverb “May you live in interesting times.”
Anyone feeling serene and balanced right now?  I’m guessing we're all
feeling like we’ve been drinking from a fire hose the past week.

Thanks to all who responded to my email about the judging seminar. It’s
clear there is not a big appetite for getting together in Wilsonvile, so we
are canceling that schedule. Pat is connecting with the hotel to let them
know. Also, Gary and I have discussed the possibility of doing a Skype (or
similar) session. Reflecting on the troubles we had a couple of years ago
in connecting with even one end point (Boise) we concurred that we would be
going through a lot of (can you hear me?, which button should I push, I
can’t see anything etc.) So following up on John’s and Bob’s suggestions,
my appeal is to everyone to take the following steps before the Richland
contest. (Available on NSRCA web site, url provided below. You will need to

1. Review the sequence descriptions, in all classes (FAI-P only)

2. Review the Power point presentations to ensure downgrades.

3. Take the self test and be diligent about understanding what is being
graded.

In Richland we’ll have a quick survey to see if anyone needs further
clarification on a given maneuver.

As you know I had hoped to use the initial hour or so in Wilsonville to
cover several items of district business. I’ll send a separate email to
everyone to expand on those topics.
