I lose track who knows and who doesn't know.  I picked up a Vanquish, it's sitting in my game room as I type this.  Looks like the build time will be pretty short, I just need to get all the stuff to put in it, I hope to be flying it by March.

Thanks for the input Pat.

Talk later,
Alan

Alan,

For what it's worth, I think you will have excellent results with the OS controller. I haven't heard of any problems.

Again, just an opinion, but from my experience the Himax is pretty much bullet proof. Mine has had a crash and a shaft rebuild and just keeps ticking. Power is outstanding. I fly up-lines that will go out of sight on about 75% power.

So you haven't told us what you are putting this stuff into, unless I missed it.

Took the plunge tonight.  After slogging through terabytes of information, reading all the lies and made up facts that are available, I decided on the os 100 amp ESC, it sounds like it has a pretty good braking system, guess we'll see.  I think I'll want a good brake since I won't have a second wing to slow this plane down.  I have the motor narrowed down to either the himax or the Shulman Fury.  Again, the information available seems to be largely made up or creatively adjusted.  The weights that are given for most of this stuff does not include the wires, seems silly because, noone uses them without wires.
