Gentlemen,

I have found having disagreements via the electronic media to lead toward the breakup of relationships. I think this is not the result we want for our district.

I suggest that a neutral party to the disagreement recently being discussed on this email list - maybe a former DVP - arrange a conference call among the parties who are central to the disagreement.

Dear John,

I'll bet I speak for many on this list who hope that you will reconsider your decision to resign and help guide us through this difficult and politically divisive period.

I have only known you to act with the utmost in intelligence, restraint, and personal integrity. I for one, never took your proposal that started this mess as an edict or pronouncement. I took it as an invitation to discuss and debate options with the goal of finding a solution that could accommodate diverse points of view.

In any case, regardless of what you decide to do, I will always be proud to call you a friend.

Steve

You all will be in control..... Good luck .... no one addressed any of the most important issues of fairness and equality this was just a slam fest. ...
As much as I would like to serve as the D7 district Vice President , in good conscience I can not continue with this position. The legal ramifications are outside of my personal comfort zone. Therefore I resign as the D7 District Vice President.
John Bentley
ps Tony now you can possibly gain control as you wish...

Since I am accountable for my behavior, I accept the consequences, among them is the extra burden that I brought upon myself in having to travel further and incur greater costs to participate in a district championship program for my hobby. This extra burden would be to participate in other events to take up the slack of the two Tailwinds events that I am not allowed to participate in due to my inappropriate behavior(s). Flying in model airplane contests is not a right or entitlement, but rather a privilege. If I could not afford the extra expense to travel to the additional contests, this would be entirely my fault, and I would have to live with that fact. It is entirely on me.
