Subject: [NSRCA-dist7] Hemet Contest

To all Dist 7 Pilots:
Because of a complaint filed against the Hemet Club by an unknown party, the Hemet field has been under intense scrutiny by the city, and at one point was shut down for about a week.  We have since been able to reopen the field but under some strict boundary guidelines.  These guidelines - although only enforced when there are workers in the adjacent fields, make it impossible for us to fly our sequences.  As a result I have made the decision to cancel the Hemet contest for this year and hope that we can reconcile these issues so we can schedule our contest for next year.  I will say that the President of the club was very disappointed we couldn't have the event, but he understood my reasoning.  Again, I am sorry if some of you have already made plans and reservations, but I really didn't have any other choice in how this went down.  Hope to see everyone at Steve Hannah's contest on the 2nd and 3rd of April.
