Yep, hang onto that Focus. I know it's in good hands. It was Joe L.'s first. It saved the day as a Nats backup when the Webra 160 in my Focus II acted up on the last day.

I built my first 2-meter plane and it weighed less than 10 ½ lbs. with an OS 160 in it (the red Black Magic V2.2) when it went on the scale in Muncie in 2008.

I just got to thinking while I was working on some regulator orders tonight, that if not for having purchased two Wistmodel Prestige ARFS 10 years ago, I might have never started up Tech-Aero Designs. The Prestige purchase figured prominently into the start of Tech-Aero, since it was a big investment for me at the time and I wanted a redundant power system that would perform the way I wanted it to to protect my investment. Since my good friend Dave Lockhart was making the same exact air frame investment at that time, we began discussing the best way forward, as we often do. I remember emailing Dave back & forth about what the heck was out there that might be suitable, and we both quickly concluded that it didn't yet exist.

I designed the FlexReg circuit, bench tested it, then teamed up with John Pavlick to build 30 some-odd units at his place in CT for John, myself, Dave, Rick Wallace, Joe Zeigenfus, and I'm sorry, I don't remember exactly who else. That led to announcing the start of Tech-Aero Designs on Nov 4, 2006, more or less marking for me the official decline of the hobby of RC as it became more and more of a business over the past 10 years. But that's how it goes. It wasn't a bad move, just a good change.
