Yes, roll directions are pilots option.

Subject: [NSRCA-discussion] Question for Experts on AF21

 


AF21.11, 12 and 9.   Roll direction in rolling loop and corners segments optional?  Is the roll at the bottom of the Figure M need to show inverted at the bottom or optional upright?  Corners of horizontal square inside, outside or optional?  Top of trombone?  No roll directions or orientation stated in maneuver descriptions so it appears the roll directions are all optional.
